The Senior School Secretary provides high level administrative and operational support to the Senior School, ensuring the efficient coordination of processes relating to staff, students and day to day school operations. The role works closely with the Assistant Head of Senior School – Staff and Operations, as well as Senior School teaching staff to deliver accurate, timely and professional administrative services.
The Senior School Secretary is a full‑time (term-time) 1 year contract position, commencing term 3 – July 2026. Working hours are 7am to 3pm, allowing the successful candidate to play an important role in supporting the smooth start of each school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general secretarial duties for the senior school staff.
- Assist with administration duties relating to staff scheduling, supervision and timetabling processes.
- Assist with document creation and design, photocopying and other administrative duties as required.
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of data bases for senior school operations.
- Assist Head/s of Department and senior school staff with assessment items and recording data.
- Assist with setting up resources and day to day management of materials.
- Assist in posting and distributing senior school publications.

Our ideal candidate will bring;
- Demonstrated administration experience, ideally within an educational environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including document production and data management.
- Ability to learn school systems such as TASS, Schoolbox, Timetabler and Clipboard.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy across all tasks.
- High level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Warm, professional communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with staff, students, parents and visitors.
